As a general comment, maybe not quite related, I never really saw the attraction to music whose mood helped induce feelings of bleakness & paranoia. Tautologically enough given the nature of such moods, I don’t find them very enjoyable.

Hmm, my preview copy didn’t feature ‘And The Glitter Is Gone’ – is it good?

I fear James Dalrymple may not be as unusual a name as you might expect. There’s a journalist with that name I think, and a cricketer called Jamie Dalrymple. People tend to remember it though …

Have enjoyed listening to this one James. My thoughts here. You seem to be missing the final track, And The Glitter Is Gone, though, which at 15 minutes in length leaves you a bit short-changed!

Wild Beasts also remind me of The Associates. It’s a great album and definitely will be in my top 10 for 2009
